Wollastonite Ceramic - Calcium Magnesium Silicate
What We Do
Physical Properties Of Associated Ceramics Wollastonite
Wollastonite is a calcium magnesium silicate. Wollastonite compositions can be formulated with 20 to 40 percent porosity. This variable porosity adjusts the overall strength versus thermal shock. Wollastonite is also inert to alkali and glaze vapor attack below 1,850°F. Wollastonite is most often used for kiln furniture. Associated Ceramics is skilled at producing quality steatite, cordierite and wollastonite parts. The following table describes these common bodies; we can work with other formulations as well.
